India today being a master of cricket is ruling as No.1 all across the globe. Indian Cricket Team has dominated test cricket as No.1 since October 2016. More than a year. This clearly indicates how good the cricket is in India. The Team is also a powerhouse in ODIs and T20s.

India has faced opponents like Sri-Lanka, England, New Zealand, Australia, and Bangladesh in their own backyard, and dominated each one of them. But the real challenge lies in the upcoming series against South Africa on foreign soil. India has never beaten South Africa in Proteas's backyard. The series gonna be an exciting one for cricket enthusiasts.

STRENGTHS OF THE INDIAN TEAM

  • VIRAT KOHLI

Kohli will be leading India against the Proteas. Scoring runs consistently, Kohli the "Run Machine" will the biggest threat for Proteas.

  • CHETESHWAR PUJARA

The Modern Day Dravid can easily change the pace of the game. Ability to bat for days is his strength. Pujara might act as the biggest hurdle against South Africa.

  • MURALI VIJAY

The classy right handed batsman has runs all across the globe. 100s in England, Australia, Bangladesh and in home. Vijay will be crucial in producing a beautiful and steady start to the innings.

  • HARDIK PANDYA

India has always been looking for a fast bowling all rounder. We are fortunate enough to get a rare talent like Pandya. Pandya can change the game within a session. His big hitting ability, fast bowling and fantastic fielding will contribute for the team immensely.

  • NEW FAST BOWLERS

Indian pace attack has changed. Now not only they can produce pace but they gain the ability to take wickets. They will be the ultimate reason if India succeed against the Proteas. Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Jasprit Bumrah are the dependables.

WEAKNESSES OF THE INDIAN TEAM

  • SLIP CATCHING

Slip Catching against fast bowlers is a disaster for team India. Poor slip catching can take the game away from India. Indian team is replacing slip fielders in quick sessions. This leads to an unstable slip catching unit.

  • SPINNERS NOT DOING WELL IN THE FOREIGN SOIL

There is no doubt regarding the fact that India has produced the best spinners in the world. But when you talk about Spinners doing well in South Africa only, Anil Kumble stays on top. It will really be an ultimate challenge for spin twins Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

Overall we hope a great season for the Indian Team but the South Africa tour will be a great challenge.
