WE generally do not much care about the battery care in a smartphone. But mind you friends, battery is the least durable part of a smartphone. It’s the battery of your smartphone which you may need to change all through within a couple of years. In the present day scenario where we are so etched to our smartphones and use them quite regularly it is very important to take good care of our mobile batteries. Here, let us discuss the various myths and tips to take good care of our batteries and extend their life-span.
MYTH #1
The healthy Charge myth. Many are suffering from this disastrous myth and are destroying the life-span of their batteries and bringing them to the minimum. People tend to use their batteries every day to their full potential bringing their charge level down to 0-5% in one shot and eventually charge them at the end of the day. No battery is meant to last you for a lifetime, they have their own duration of stay. A battery has a definite number of battery cycles. A battery cycle is completed by one full charge and one full discharge. When we use our batteries completely every day, we are actually utilizing each life cycle of the batteries every day and thus bringing its life to the minimum. A typical mobile battery last for about 3000 battery-cycles. This is reducing the life of your battery to a great extent.
SOLUTION #1
Correct you charging habit. If you have the habit of charging your batteries every day at the end of the day, come out of this habit immediately. We are presently in the era of Fast-charging. Just plug-in your best friend, your phone, in the socket for 15-20 minutes or longer if possible whenever you get the chance and switch ON the airplane mode. This will ensure better charging and will prevent your batteries from going off-charge. Try to maintain at least 40% of minimum battery level. You will notice the improvement in your battery life very soon. Healthy Charging is very important but that should be done only once a month which brings us to another myth.
MYTH #2
The 0% Myth of healthy charge. First of all, we must be completely clear what Healthy charge is. Healthy Charging is the removing all the junk from your batteries by bringing the battery down to minimum and then charging it in one shot. What is that minimum? That minimum is anywhere between 5-10%. There is no hard and fast rule that we need to bring the battery percentage down to zero percent. Rather it may prove quite lethal for the battery to discharge down to 0%. There is no potential solution to this myth. The solution is basically at the psychological level where we need to correct our notion regarding healthy charging and thus follow a perfect stereotype for a lasting battery life.
TIP #1
This is a tip for the users who have a completely un used phone or are planning to purchase a new phone. When we charge the battery of a phone for the first time, it is highly recommended that the charging should be continuous and uninterrupted. In layman’s terms, we should plug a new phone into the socket only after ensuring that--------
The socket is working completely fine and is not faulty under any condition.
The socket and can deliver continuous power and is backed up by an uninterrupted power supply source.
The phone is not to be used while charging.
The battery percentage should be above 20%
The phone is not rebooted under any circumstance.
TIP #2
To prolong your battery life, you do need to compromise a little. Try switching off the Wi-Fi sense, location and Bluetooth when not in use. You may also switch off your data when not in use. We won’t suggest cleaning your RAM coz that’s again a different topic to talk about. Switch of irrelevant tones like the touch sound, touch vibration, unlock sound to conserve battery. If you possess a phone with an AMOLED display switch to black wallpapers and black themes to conserve battery life to the best. If you are a user of a phone with an IPS-LCD display, try using light themes to conserve battery to the best of its ability and get a prolonged single charge power. Lower the go to sleep duration. Use the phone on speaker mode or use the supplied earphones in the box. Using of very heavy earphones or headphones will drain the battery very quickly. Always use specified charger.
